FIMI STARTS ITS INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN

The International Children’s Fashion Fair, FIMI, starts its promotional campaign in the International markets. For the 79th edition, to be held from 4th to 6th July at the Recinto Ferial Casa de Campo in Madrid, the goal remains to internationalize the event.

“The progressive internationalization of the companies is the goal and FIMI wants to emerge as the quintessential platform, capable of enhancing the strategic positioning of the international companies participating in the exhibition” stated the director of FIMI, Alicia Gimeno. In this sense, the organization has established a ranking of interested countries based on several criteria such as the growing interest in the Spanish fashion or purchasing power among others. Countries like Costa Rica, Ecuador, United States, Kazakhstan, Panama, Dominican Republic and Russia are all going to pay special attention, but we should not forget the natural market of Europe.

The aim is to arouse the interest of professionals from other countries presenting a showcase involving the industry leaders, and transmit the fact that they have a chance to attend the premiere of the Fashion Week – a new project that will reveal new collections of fashion: communion and ceremony, bath, shoes and accessories. FIMI works with ICEX, Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade and ASEPRI, the Spanish Association for Products for Children.

The increase of 15 % of foreign buyers registered in the competition in January 2014 confirms that FIMI is continuously increasing as an event with reference in the international circuit of professionals related to in the universe for children.
